Role Overview

The associate will work with the Medical Technology Analyst and Managing Director to support the diligence process for new and existing investments in all MedTech sub-sectors including medical devices, life science tools, diagnostics, services and digital health.  In addition to evaluating individual companies, the associate will maintain a perspective on industry trends and outlook.

This position is full-time and reports to the Managing Director, Research Analyst.

Key Responsibilities

  • Surveys, quantitative analysis, and financial modeling to support the asset valuation and diligence process
  • Interviews with KOLs, clinicians, and researchers to assess the value of competing companies and products
  • Attendance at industry conferences to identify emerging technologies as well as key trends / product features and user perspectives on existing products
  • Meetings with senior management teams from portfolio companies as well as new company introductions

Qualifications and Skills

  • 2+ years of experience focused on any sector of healthcare, in a sell-side or buy-side role
  • Medtech experience, specifically on life sciences tools and diagnostics who can scale and expand breadth to device/aesthetics
  • Strong financial modeling experience
  • Relevant academic or industry experience in the life sciences is preferred
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Demonstrated tenacity in conducting detailed research and presenting findings
  • New York based with willingness to travel (15%)

Compensation & Benefits

  • In accordance with New York City’s Pay Transparency Law, the base salary range for this role is $140,000 to $150,000. Base salary does not include other forms of compensation or benefits.
